Volunteer Opportunities – Direct Activities

Meal Site: Help to serve drinks, clear tables, and interact with our guests. Fridays, 3 PM – 5 PM

Daily Food Pantry: Assist guests, re-stock shelves, and break down boxes.

Monday 8 AM – 10:30 AM; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Support Activities

Fundraising: Plan and organize fundraising events such as the Annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction.

Communications: Develop flyers, brochures, and other informational pieces; press releases; maintain and update the website and Facebook.

Run a Drive

Organize a collection of Food, Toiletries, or Clothing.

Food: Canned meats/tuna, Soup/canned fruit, Cereal, Spaghetti sauce/pasta, Peanut butter

Toiletries: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, Deodorant, Disposable razors, Shaving cream, Shampoo, feminine hygiene products

Clothing: Better Lives RI maintains a Clothing Closet for our homeless guests. Any donations must be in season (we have no storage), Clean, and In good condition. We are always in need of men’s clothing, especially larger sizes
